Panoramic tour of Buda
This visit takes us to the other side of the Danube, to the part of the city called “Buda” and to the Castle district. We will walk up to the Fisherman’s Bastion and the King Matthias Church from where we will have a spectacular view of the Danube and the Parliament. A short walk from here is the impressive palace complex of Buda Castle. Formerly the residence of Hungarian kings, it now houses the History Museum and the National Gallery. By bus, we continue to Mount Gellért, at the top of which we will see the Statue of Liberty, which forms an important part of Budapest’s cityscape. Again, we will enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Danube and the bridges that cross it, but you can also take fantastic pictures of the Parliament and even the Buda Castle.
