We’ll travel through the picture-perfect Salzkammergut region, following the shores of Lake Mondsee as the scenery shifts from sparkling water to rolling green hills. Our drive brings us to the best-known village in the area—St. Wolfgang, beautifully set on the edge of Lake Wolfgangsee. Here you’ll have free time to enjoy the lakeside atmosphere at your own pace. Take a short stroll through the charming center, soak in the views from the waterfront, and snap a few classic photos of the village framed by the mountains.

After your time in St. Wolfgang, the experience continues in the most relaxing way possible: by boat across Lake Wolfgangsee. From the water, you’ll get a fresh perspective on the shoreline—quiet coves, elegant lakeside houses, and the dramatic mountain backdrop that makes this region so famous. The boat brings you to St. Gilgen, another lovely lakeside village, where your bus will be waiting for the return journey.

On the way back to Salzburg, we’ll drive past the Lake Fuschlsee area—yet another Salzkammergut highlight known for its clear, deep-green water and peaceful forested surroundings—before arriving back in Salzburg.
