Tales and myths of Vienna
Strolling through the narrow streets of Vienna’s old town is like a walk through the past centuries. We start our visit with the history of St. Stephen’s Cathedral (exterior visit), which is linked with many legends of medieval times. We continue our walk, visiting the part of the historic center located next to the Danube Canal. We will also see the Jewish quarter and pass Judenplatz square, which is a very special memorial site containing the excavations of a medieval synagogue. Then we will visit the famous Ankeruhr clock – a clock in Art Nouveau style, which is decorated with figurines of important people connected to the history of the city. The tour ends with a visit to the foundations and the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Vindobona.
