Tales and myths of Vienna
Strolling through the narrow streets of Vienna’s old town is like a walk through the past centuries. We start our visit with the history of St. Stephen’s Cathedral (exterior visit) which is linked with many legends of the medieval times. We continue our walk, visiting the part of the historical centre which is located next to the Danube Canal. We will also see the Jewish quarter and pass the Judenplatz square, which is a very special memorial site containing the excavations of a medieval synagogues. Then we will visit the famous Ankeruhr clock – a clock in Art Nouveau style, which is decorated with figurines of important people connected to the history of the city. The tour ends with a visit of the foundations and the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Vindobona.
