Walk through Prague’s Jewish Quarter
During this walking tour you will discover the beauties and mysteries of Prague’s Jewish Quarter called Jozefov, which dates back to the thirteenth century. It is located next to the Old Town, where the birthplace of the famous writer Franz Kafka once stood. We will learn about the history of the old Jewish ghetto, much of which collapsed at the beginning of the 20th century and of which six synagogues, the cemetery, the ceremonial hall and the town hall are preserved to this day. We will visit the oldest synagogue in Central Europe, the Old-New Synagogue, which in its magical interior holds many interesting stories and also the old Jewish cemetery – one of the largest in the world.
