To mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss Sohn, the City of Vienna is dedicating the year 2025 to the eventful life and work of the world-famous composer.
Johann Strauss was a superstar of his time, whose artistic output – from dance music to sophisticated concert music to his stage works – thrilled his audiences. His extensive tours took him all over Europe and halfway around the world, even to the United States. His famous melodies such as ‘The Blue Danube’, ‘Viennese Blood’ or his well-known polkas and operettas are still performed all over the world today.
The Mundivision team is currently visiting all the new exhibitions, concerts and tours on offer for the Strauss Year 2025 in order to offer special Vienna packages on the subject in the near future.
