Berchtesgaden and the salt mines

 

The Alpine sceneries will fascinate you. After bordering on the lake “Königsee”, we will see the ruins of Obersalzberg – Hitler’s former mountain retreat.

The highlight of the day will be the visit to a salt mine, which is more than 450 years old. We will wear miners clothing and slide down an original toboggan made of wood, which the miners used for going down to the mine.

Once inside the mine we will go to different caves and galleries up to the mystical lake of salt where we will go back on a raft. At the way back to the entry we will take a miners train. After a short visit to the city of Berchtesgaden we will return to Salzburg.
