Cesky Krumlov
Cesky Krumlov is one of the Czech cities listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is located in the South Bohemian region and is the most visited tourist destination after Prague, from which it is 180 km away. It is situated in the meander of the river Vltava and has a center so well preserved that shows until today the character of a South Bohemian village in the Middle Ages.
At Cesky Krumlov, the dominant feature of the village is the castle – the second largest castle in the Czech Republic after Prague Castle. The town served as the residence of the most powerful noble dynasties of the country such as the Rožemberk, Eggenberk and Schwarzenberg. For all these reasons it is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
