Walking tour of Budapest
We start our walk with the interior visit of the Hungarian Parliament, an architectural complex that can be seen from almost anywhere in Buda and with extreme beauty. Then we go down to the banks of the Danube, where we learn the history of the shoe monument. We will continue walking to Liberty Square (Szabadság tér) and continue to St. Stephen’s Basilica. Then we walk to Vörösmarty Square, where the famous Gerbeaud café is located. From this square opens Váci Street, a pedestrian street with many shops and gastronomy. Finally we will visit the Great Market or Central Market, the largest and oldest indoor market in the country (open from Monday to Saturday). Here you can buy all kinds of local products and try typical dishes in the market’s beach bars.
