Day 1 PRAGUE
Arrival transfer from the airport to your hotel. Information about your stay through our staff. Checkin at the hotel and distribution of the rooms. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 2 PRAGUE
Breakfast. Day tour of Prague (2x 3 hrs) incl. entrance fee to Prague Castle. To get to know Prague, sometimes also called the “golden city” or “city of the hundred cupolas”, we have a day tour planned to discover the historic and artistic highlights of the city. We will start the tour in the castle district (Hradcany), where the Strahov Monastry, the Archbishop’s Palace and Plaza Loreto. We will continue our tour with San Vito, a Gothic style cathedral where the crown jewels are preserved, followed by the Old Royal Palace and the Golden Lane. Lunch at a traditional restaurant. After lunch we continue our tour. We will explore “Little Side” (Mala Strana), where we will see the Saint Nicholas Church and the Charles Bridge, maybe the most famous spot in the city. We will continue to the Old Town, which is one of the most beautiful ones in Europe. We will make our way through the alleys to the Old Town Square where we can admire the astronomical clock, the Powder Tower, Wenceslao Square and much more. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 3 PRAGUE - Excursion Karlovy Vary
Breakfast. Day excursion to Karlovy Vary, an internationally well-known spa town. Located in a valley surrounded by mountains and thick forests, an almost enchanting scenery unfolds. At our arrival Victorian gardens and cobbled streets lined with beautiful buildings will await us. On this paths historical figures like Bach, Beethoven, Goethe and many more used to go for a walk. During our visit we will see a Vřídlo hot spring, a geyser shooting water at 72°C up to 12 meters in the air, as well as the theatre and the different health spas. Lunch at a restaurant. Return to Prague. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 4 PRAGUE - Excursion Cesky Krumlov
Breakfast. In the morning we are starting our excursion to Cesky Krumlov, one of the Czech cities listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. There we will enjoy a panoramic tour of this city situated in the meander of the river Vlatva and embedded in the South Bohemian region of the Czech Republic. The center is so well preserved that even today it shows the character of a South Bohemian village in the Middle Ages. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon return to Prague. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 5 PRAGUE - Bratislava - BUDAPEST
Breakfast. Departure to Budapest by private bus. When we cross Slovakia we stop in Bratislava, the capital of the country. Walking tour (2 hrs) with a local Englisch speaking guide. The city is one of the unkown treasures of central Europe. . Formely called Pressburg, and Poszony by the Hungarians, it was the Capital of Hungary for more than 300 years and the place of coronation of the Habsburgs as kings of Hungary. During this visit we will pass by the famous Primate’s Palace, the old town hall and the old town where most of the important monuments and buildings are located. Lunch in a typical restaurnt. Continuation of our journey to Vienna. Check in at the hotel and room distribution. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Lunch at a traditional restaurant. After lunch we will continue our journey to Budapest. Checkin at the hotel and distribution of the rooms. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 6 BUDAPEST
Breakfast. Panoramic city tour with English speaking local guide to explore the most important monuments at the so called “pearl of the Danube”. The Danube river flows right through the city center, dividing it into two parts “Buda” and “Pest”. Starting in Buda, the older part of the city, we will pass through the castle district. From there we will make our way to Pest to the Heroes’ Square, where we will see the Vajdahunyard Castle. The Széchenyi Baths, the Opera, the Parliament , the Basilica-Cathedral of Saint Stephen and the famous Central Market. Lunch in a traditional restaurant. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 7 BUDAPEST - Excursion Danube Bend
Breakfast. Day excursion. Our first stop will be Esztergom, a city that has preserved its Medival roots. There we will admire the basicila, centre of the Hungarian Christianity. We will continue along the Danube Bend to Visegrad. Approaching the town the prominent stone fortress built by order of Bela IV to shield the population from the Mongolian attacs, will catch your eye. Lunch in a traditional restaurant in Visegrad. After lunch we will make our way to Szentendre, located at the bottom of the montains of Visegrad. Founded in the 18th century by the Serbians that fled from their homeland during the domination of the Turcs. Today the town is known as an Artist’s Village and appreciated for its museums. Departure to Budapest. At night folklore show and dinner (3 course menu incl. wine). During the accompanying show we will get an impression of the traditional music, dances and attire. On the way back to the hotel we will stop at the citadel, located at the top of mount San Gerardo, from where we will have a wonderful view of the illuminated city. Accommodation at the hotel.
Day 8 BUDAPEST
Breakfast. Check out and free time until transfer by private bus the airport.
